SCHOLARSHIPS

The David “Wagga” Hunt Scholarship Foundation was established in 2009 to provide scholarships to deserving high school students of Kingston College and Calabar from Grades 8 to 13.

Scholarship Criteria

Each Scholarship awardee must exhibit the following characteristics for selection:

  • A satisfactory record of academic performance

  • A satisfactory attendance record

  • Participation in extra-curricular activity (through clubs or societies)

  • Be a student whose parents/guardians are financially challenged to meet the expense of secondary education

Scholarship Benefits

For each year of the scholarship, each awardee receives J$100,000 to assist in covering school fees, uniform, lunch, books, etc. The scholarship period for each awardee covers Grades 8 to 13 (Upper Sixth Form) at a total cost of J$600,000 per student. To date, we have awarded over J$14.1 million in scholarships to more than 34 students.
